New CINAHL Functionality
The following features are now available to CINAHL and MEDLINE subscribers:
Streamlined Headings Functionality
Everything that transpires from the moment a user enters a term, to when the desired results are returned, is now more efficient! Many subtle changes have been made to enable more streamlined, intuitive navigations for both novice and experienced users.
- When a user creates a new query, all terms and subheadings are clearly shown on the right portion of the screen in the new Search Box Builder tool. ( Screen Shot Example)
- Users who enter a keyword and want to search the database are prompted to select a subheading before using the Search Database button, which turns green when ready. (Screen Shot Example)
- The Browse for button has been moved to the bottom of the screen to eliminate any confusion for those who instead wish to search the database straightaway, also a benefit to new users.
- There is now a direct link to a tutorial in the horizontal blue bar across the page, right from within the database! (Screen Shot Example)
Search History Enhancements
Users can now edit Search History and Alerts. Changes made to previous searches or alerts will be reflected in subsequent searches, whenever they contribute to the new search. To view a collection of screen shots that demonstrate the look and feel of these upgrades, visit this page.
