EBSCOhost App for iPhone and Android Users - Frequently Asked Questions


EBSCO offers an app for accessing EBSCOhost from your iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad and Android devices. The EBSCOhost app is available for download from the iTunes app store and Google Play.

 Keep in mind, EBSCOhost Mobile 2.0 provides seamless access to the EBSCOhost (ehost) or EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS) interfaces via mobile devices without the need to download an application.  For more information on EBSCOhost Mobile 2.0 click here.

Note: DynaMed is not accessible from the EBSCOhost app. Please see the FAQ linked at the bottom of this page regarding the DynaMed app or contact Technical Support for more information.


Q. Why won't the iPhone or Android app authenticate when I click the link in the email?

After clicking the EBSCOhost iPhone and Android Applications link in EBSCOhost or the Nursing Reference Center iPhone/iPod Touch Application link in NRC, you will receive an email containing an authentication link.

In order to authenticate the app, you must tap the authentication link from within your iPhone/iPod Touch/iPad or Android mail application.

 

Q. Which databases are not compatible with the EBSCOhost iPhone and Android applications?

The EBSCOhost iPhone and Android apps are designed to work with regular EBSCOhost interface databases. The following databases are not compatible with the app:

Q. Can I save items to my personal EBSCOhost folder using the iPhone or Android app?

No, at this time your personal My EBSCOhost folder is not compatible with the EBSCOhost app for iPhone and Android devices.

Items and searches that are saved using the app are stored within the device's internal memory.
